First it was the American Airlines Arena changing names to FTX Arena and now the BB&T Center home of the Florida Panthers is changing its name too.
It will now be known as the FLA Live Arena, at least temporarily. The Panthers said the Arena Operating Company is looking for a new arena naming rights partner. For now, fans can go to FlaLiveArena.com for more information on concerts, shows, events and of course hockey games.
We've known it as BB&T Center since 2012, but unfortunately, a new merger did not include naming rights. In the team's official release, Panthers COO Shawn Thornton said, “we want to thank the leadership at BB&T now Truist for their loyal support and partnership for the past 11 years.” He added, “as we move forward in identifying a new naming rights partnership for the arena, we will seek to build on this incredible momentum with an innovative long-term partner that aligns with our culture, brand and growth trajectory as South Florida’s hockey market continues to grow exponentially.”
Yeap, now this is another thing we have to get used to. I don't but I still call it AAA. Habit LOL!!
