It's been 35 years since Janet Jackson's album Control came out and it just hit #1, again, in the streaming charts! The bit jump happened just one day after Justin Timberlake's apology on social media when he wrote:
"I want to take accountability for my own missteps in all of this as well as be part of a world that uplifts and supports."
I personally found the apology lacking, there were no specifics, it felt very generic. But hey, I'm not the one directly hurt by his actions. Those who were are the ones to decide how they feel about the apology.
Either way, a way after the apology, Janet Jackson's Control album skyrocketed back to #1 on streaming charts which I think is really awesome. You remember the wardrobe mishap between Janet and Justin at the halftime performance? Do you think the album hitting #1 again had something to do with Justin?
