Target Recalls Two Types of Toddler Boots for Choking Hazard

This is why I'm #TeamBirthControl. I was recently invited to a birthday party and this is exactly what I was going to buy for the birthday girl. Then I find out there's a recall for the boots cause of a choking hazard. Adult birthday parties are so much easier. Just bring booze.

Target put out a recall of Cat & Jack toddler boots over possible choking hazard. The "Himani" and "Jaren" toddler boots are the two styles that have been recalled and these were sold between September 2019 and February 2020. Apparently the boots have an elastic lace that is intended to keep out snow when tightened. However the Consumer Safety Product Commission says there’s a possibility the elastic in brake and the toggle attached to it can fall off.

While no injuries have been reported the boots are being recalled in sizes five through 12, in pink and navy, for the Himani style and in sizes five through 12 an olive, black with multicolored polkadots, pink with multicolored polkadots, and navy with rainbows for the Jaren style boots.
