Twitch Temporarily Bans President Trump

I'll be honest, I only recently learned what Twitch was and had no idea the platform existed a few weeks ago. So in case you're on the same boat I was, let me clarify that Twitch is a video live streaming service operated by Twitch Interactive, a subsidiary of Amazon. It's the world's leading live streaming platform for gamers.

The president's account was banned for “hateful conduct” that was aired on stream, and Twitch says the offending content has now been removed. “Like anyone else, politicians on Twitch must adhere to our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. We do not make exceptions for political or newsworthy content, and will take action on content reported to us that violates our rules,” a Twitch spokesperson toldThe Verge. The Verge shared that the statement was originally issued last year when Trump’s channel was launched.
