Come out and join me and AHF this Spring Break for the 2019 Annual Florida AIDS Walk and Music Festival, taking place on Saturday, March 23rd at Fort Lauderdale Beach from 10am – 6pm.
This is an important cause because HIV is greatly impacting our community. Nationally, Florida ranks #1 with the highest rate of new HIV diagnosis and South Florida is where we are seeing the highest numbers of new diagnosis. So we have some work to do, and part of this work starts with the support of those who come out for the Florida AIDS Walk.
Its only $25 for a full day of food and fun in the sun…all for a great cause. You can join us for the whole event, or just come out for the amazing music with a 5K walk starting at 10am and music starting at around 11am. There is something for everyone!
I'll be headlining the Main Stage all day and hosting performances by Shaggy, Big Freedia and The Struts, along with food trucks, vendors…all while we party with a purpose!
Funds raised from the Florida AIDS Walk supports 10 locally based non-profits that work to address the HIV epidemic that is plaguing South Florida. Already we have raised over $1million dollars and we want to keep the momentum going.
