New Beauty Trend: Gem Facials

You've probably already heard about the healing properties of crystals. Each has it's own set of characteristics and vibration, each used to awaken a different type energy and achieve different goals within the person or home. Whether you wear them or keep them around your house, the idea is that their energy can be healing, protective, soothing, and - according to this new trend- great for wrinkles and facials! I'm all about it!

Dr. Elizabeth Trattner is a graduate of the Acupuncture Institute in Miami, FL, the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine Integrative Health & Lifestyle program, and is the only acupuncture physician in the country with the distinction of having been invited and completing a prestigious medical rotation at the University of Arizona’s Center of Integrative Medicine. So it's safe to say she knows what she's talking about!

On her Instagram page, she has multiple posts like the one below where a facial is underway combining acupuncture, the use of multiple different crystals and gems, and products from the Less Is Beauty line. Trattner says the benefits of the Gem Facials, which she created 20 years ago, include:

  • Increased blood flow to the skin
  • Reduces puffiness
  • Lifts and sculpts the face
  • Reduces fine lines
  • Stimulates the production of collagen and elastin
  • Helps increase stem cells and blastocyst in the dermis of the skin to create healthier newer skin
  • Reduces acne and scar tissue
  • Improves the overall look of the skin including neck and décolleté

I am SO curious about this... I personally love crystals, know a bit about them, and keep all over my home to balance energy and add to my Feng Shui. The facials average around $250 and I'm thinking of craping some pennies to try one out.

Are you interested in this new trend? Would you want to try it out? Do you believe that crystals and gems have healing properties?
