Here's Why Some Are Americans Are Afraid to Take Lunch Breaks

Americans are already afraid to take vacation days . . . do we have to be afraid to take lunch breaks too?  Apparently, we are. A recent survey says:

  • Nearly 20% of North American workers worry their bosses won’t think they are hardworking if they take regular lunch breaks, while 13% worry their co-workers will judge them.
  • 38% of employees don’t feel encouraged to take a lunch break.

Seems like we're probably right because 22% of North American bosses say that employees who take a regular lunch break are less hardworking. That means there's more than a one-in-five chance your boss is one of them.

Do you take your lunch break or eat at your desk?
